PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Teresa Roberts Logan's professional art experience spans 23 years, from when she received her BFA in Graphic Design. She lived in Colorado for almost 20 years, working as a professional cartoonist; and it was there that TRL got back to large works, painting large oil paintings on canvas. TRL continued painting and showing her artwork in galleries, festivals, and other venues, including Art Expo, Surtex, and Licensing Show International. Moving to Virginia in 2005, she began working on collages from reclaimed materials such as teabags, papers, and billboard vinyl, using acrylics and sewing beads onto the canvas. The variety of materials and her work in cartooning and big oil paintings have evolved a unique style which features graphic elements as well as fine art and decorative arts influence. In a volunteer capacity, she has worked extensively to fundraise for persons with AIDS by creating a greeting card line through the Legacy Foundation, and has worked with Alzheimer’s patients to create watercolor artworks with the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado. She is planning a trip in 2011 with Shakespeare Link Canada to Mozambique, to make art with girls orphaned by AIDS and malaria, and to work with indigenous artists to get their work shown in the U.S.
